Why Deep Cryogenics?

Our proprietary 60 hour cryogenic process permanently and dramatically improves the usage life and stability of brake rotors to create a distinct advantage in tensile strength, abrasive wear resistance and rotor longevity. By using the cryogenic process to inhibit internal oxidation and increase thermal fatigue resistance, a cryogenically treated rotor can last up to three times as long as untreated rotors.

After 50 Laps:
Deep grooves and heat cracking indicate significant wear.
This rotor is worn out, unsafe and must be replaced.
Rotors and pads will have to be purchased more often.
After 91 Laps:
Grooving and heat cracking have been significantly reduced.
Brake pad wear is reduced by 40%
This rotor has approximately 40 more laps left on it — a 131% increase in rotor life over the non-treated rotors.

The non-treated rotor shows:
4-5 times the distortion
Cracking of more than twice the depth
3 times the internal and external oxidation
The treated rotor is:
Free of distortion
Has a more uniform micro-cracking network
Has significantly less internal and external oxidation
The thermal fatigue resistance is superior in the treated condition and shows potential for greater safety and serviceability.
